Godzilla and お好み焼き

I’m one of the lucky ones. My wife and I got to meet Raji when we were in Tokyo in 2019. He was like bottled energy. Fun, polite, generous, and with a great sense of humor. We visited Godzilla and waited in a nice café.
Then we went to an Okonomiyaki place for our first experience trying that delicious food.

What stuck out to me was how many people Raji knew. Tokyo isn’t a small town, yet Raji navigated it as if it were. He was also very supportive of my own Japanese goals, pushing me to order our food and teaching me a lot.

Raji was a truly good person and I feel honored to have gotten to spend time with him.
